So, although my wife only uses a few of the basis features of Quicken, for the moment we've agreed that she will load it on to her laptop PC and continue using it just for that, while we await either an acceptable verison of Quicken for Mac, and also test out other Mac money management programmes, until hopefully she finds a product which will suit her needs and which is secure. Strikes me there is a big market opportunity for somebody to develop a Mac money management killer programme, as Intuit dont seem to care about the growing number of Mac users who would like a great version of Quicken. Only problem is that, having researched the Mac version of Quicken, as far as I can see it is almost universally hated, particularly by those using Intel based Macs, (its despised even on the Quicken website forums, never mind the various Mac forums), and none of the alternatives for the Mac seem to have any degree of universal acceptance as being anywhere near as good as Quicken or MS Money for Windows (and there is no version of Money for Mac). Thanks Allan, agreed, I am trying to avoid using Windows if at all possible as the reason I switched to Mac was to get away from that awful OS (although I've yet to determine if I'll need it for anything else, as I've not got around to checking through half of the audio & other programmes I used on the PC), This is the response from that post, at 0 00:18 : Originally posted as "New iMac user - Question re AV"
